Undergoes surgery

Hudson-Odoi has undergone quadriceps surgery and will be out until this summer's preseason, according to his club.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was already known to be out for the remainder of the season, but that has been further confirmed Tuesday, as the attacker will now undergo surgery on the injury. This will hopefully heal him of the problems as they head into the 2026/27 season, set to return once pre-season training starts. The major question is if this will be an injury he can come back from the same, as he is a key piece of the team when at their best, notching three goals and four assists in 30 appearances (21 starts) this season.

Done for season

Hudson-Odoi (hamstring) is out for the remainder of the season, according to Paul Taylor of The Athletic.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was feared to be missing the rest of the season, and that is now in place, as the attacker has been ruled out for the final five games. This is an unfortunate end to a solid season for him, as he bagged three goals and four assists in 30 appearances (21 starts), continuing to be one of their top attacking options. With the club not completely out of the relegation battle yet, they will need all hands on deck to make up the space left by Hudson-Odoi, with Dilane Bakwa, Dan Ndoye and Omari Hutchinson likely to earn even more time.

Could miss rest of season

Hudson-Odoi is set for scans to determine if he can return this season, according to manager Vitor Pereira, per Jak Netting of Vavel. "It's a serious injury. It's very bad news for us. He had a scan and now it's about trying to understand if he can recover before the end of the season."

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was feared of a muscle injury, and with the injury now deemed "serious," he is set for scans to determine if he can return again this season. It will be up to scans in the coming days, hopefully ending up on the better side of the injury. It will determine if he can play again this season, which would be an unfortunate way to end the season, just one short of tying a career high for goal contributions in a season.

Leaves stadium on crutches

Hudson-Odoi went down with an injury after playing as a substitute in Thursday's Europa League win over Porto and was seen walking on crutches after the match, per reporter Thomas Gibson.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi is now dealing with an issue that could force him to miss the weekend's matchup versus Burnley, which would mark his first league absence since Jan. 3. The attacker is one of the team's most talented playmakers, so his loss could impact their ability to generate offensive play. Dan Ndoye and Omari Hutchinson will be in line to start on the wings if Hudson-Odoi is ruled out.

Provides assist for equalizer

Hudson-Odoi assisted once to go with two shots (zero on goal), four crosses (one accurate) and five chances created in Sunday's 1-1 draw versus Aston Villa.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi picked up the assist on Neco Williams' 38th minute equalizer, bringing down Ola Aina's cross before slipping a perfectly weighted pass into Williams, who drilled a low finish inside the near post to pull Forest level. He was one of Forest's most dangerous attacking outlets over the full 90 minutes, ending the match with one assist, two shots and five chances created, matching his season high. Hudson-Odoi is in solid form right now, racking up three assists across his last four Premier League appearances for Forest.

Assists on two chances

Hudson-Odoi assisted once to go with one cross (zero accurate) and two chances created in Sunday's 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi created a pair of chances and was rewarded with an assist during Sunday's rout. The attacker didn't put any shots on goal but he was a good playmaker throughout the match. He was solid with the chances he created and could have had a second assist with better finishing from his strikers.

Assist Wednesday

Hudson-Odoi assisted once to go with two crosses (zero accurate) and one chance created in Wednesday's 2-2 draw versus Manchester City.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi would be lucky enough to be credited with an assist after finding Elliot Anderson for a goal, even though the thunderous strike was not so much set up by the pass. Hudson-Odoi earns his second goal contribution in their past three games, a good sign after he went almost two months without one previously. He's up to three goals and two assists in 27 league appearances (18 starts) this season.

Starting vs. Leeds United

Hudson-Odoi (shoulder) is starting against Leeds United on Friday.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi underwent a late test to see whether he would've been available, and he's fit enough to start right away. The speedy winger has two goals and one assist in his last eight EPL outings, but he hasn't contributed to a goal in the league since mid-December.

Feb 4, 2026

Late test to face Leeds

Hudson-Odoi (shoulder) is questionnable for Friday's match against Leeds United and will need to undergo tests to determine his availability, said coach Sean Dyche in press the conference, according to The Nottingham Post. "Callum has got a knock on his shoulder. He landed on it awkwardly. We have had it checked and there's nothing too serious but it is a painful one. We will have to make a decision on that in the next 36 hours in preparation for the game. We will know more about that."

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi is questionable for Friday's clash against Leeds United after picking up a knock to his shoulder last weekend against Crystal Palace. He will undergo a late fitness test following the final training session to determine his availability. The forward is an undisputed starter, having started the last eight matches he was available for while scoring two goals and providing one assist during that span. Dilane Bakwa and Ryan Yates are possible options to replace him if he is ruled out.

Suffers shoulder injury

Hudson-Odoi was forced off at halftime during Sunday's 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace due to a shoulder injury, coach Sean Dyche said in a press conference, according to the Nottingham Post. "He has hurt his shoulder so we will have to get that scanned as well. A few different people got knocks today. Part of it was my decision tactically, so I was going to remove him because of that, but he has hurt his shoulder as well so it was a double whammy. Hopefully it is nothing too serious but we will probably find out more tomorrow."

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was unable to come out for the second half of Sunday's draw against the Eagles after picking up a shoulder injury in the opening period. The forward is set to undergo scans in the coming days and will be hoping the issue proves to be minor, as he has remained a regular fixture in Forest's frontline, starting half of the club's matches since the beginning of the year. Dilane Bakwa or Ryan Yates who replaced him at the break and could be in line for an expanded roles if Hudson-Odoi is forced to miss time during his recovery.

Jan 17, 2026

Inefficient crossing

Hudson-Odoi had one shot (zero on goal), six crosses (one accurate) and two chances created in Saturday's 0-0 draw versus Arsenal.

Analysis: The forward struggled to get much going in service, with only one of his six crosses being considered accurate. He'll need to be better for Nottingham Forest to score in UEL play on Thursday against SC Braga. Braga has only given up five goals in six UEL games.

Jan 6, 2026

Starting Wednesday

Hudson-Odoi (undisclosed) is in the starting XI for Tuesday's match against West Ham.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was a late call for Tuesday but is in the call after some testing, not just an option but starting immediately. This gives the attacker his sixth straight start when an option, looking to add to his three goals and one assist this season.

Jan 5, 2026

Late call to face West Ham

Hudson-Odoi (achilles) is a late call for Tuesday's match against West Ham, according to manager Sean Dyche, per Sarah Clapson of the Nottingham Post. "We'll have to wait and see. He didn't make Saturday, quite obviously, and he couldn't make it on the bench so we'll have to wait and see. It was a sore Achilles."

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was a late scratch from Saturday's match and is going to need some testing to play Tuesday, with the attacker a late call for the contest. This will come with some testing ahead of the game, hoping he can play after five straight starts ahead of the absence. He has started in 10 of his 18 appearances this season while scoring three goals and one assist, with Dilane Bakwa as a possible replacement on the left side of the field.

Jan 3, 2026

Late scratch for Aston Villa tilt

Hudson-Odoi isn't part of the squad to face Aston Villa on Saturday.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi is unexpectedly missing and will need to be assessed ahead of Tuesday's away game against West Ham. Dilane Bakwa and Omari Hutchinson are getting the nod wide while James McAtee and Arnaud Kalimuendo are on the bench.

Dec 15, 2025

Two goals and an assist

Hudson-Odoi scored two goals and assisted once from three shots and two chances created in Sunday's 3-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi had perhaps the best game of his career Sunday as he was directly involved in all three of his side's goals in his first start since Nov. 1. He opened up the scoring in the 28th minute and then secured his brace in the 50th minute, both assisted by Ibrahim Sangare. He then returned the favor to Sangare, assisting his excellent goal in the 79th minute. The three goal contributions marked his first since Aug. 24, so this was truly a performance that came out of nowhere. He will look to build off this performance next Monday at Fulham, but another performance like this should not be expected.

Nov 26, 2025

Fully fit

Hudson-Odoi is fully fit for Thursday's clash with Malmo, he announced."Yeah I'm feeling much better. I just had a knock, but I'm feeling good and ready to go."

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was a doubt before a 3-0 win over Liverpool, and then ended up on the bench for that match. He seemingly only had a knock, so should be fully fit and ready to go Thursday. Hudson-Odoi had started three matches in a row prior to the injury.

Nov 22, 2025

On bench against Liverpool

Hudson-Odoi (leg) is on the bench for Saturday's clash against Liverpool.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was pictured in training earlier in the week after recovering from a leg injury and be deemed fit enough to return on the bench against Liverpool on Saturday. The attacking midfielder will likely be eased back into action before finding back his starting role for Forest.

Nov 20, 2025

Could be available Saturday

Hudson-Odoi (leg) could be available against Liverpool on Saturday, manager Sean Dyche told media during Thursday's pre-match press conference. "Callum is (the only one with a chance of playing on Saturday) at the moment. He is around it. If today and tomorrow go well and he feels OK, at least we can think about him being back in the fold. That will be a positive."

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was pictured in training earlier in the week, and Dyche's words show that the winger is trending in the right direction toward a potential return to the side over the weekend. Hudson-Odoi has missed Nottingham's last two matches, one in the Europa League and one in the Premier League.

Nov 19, 2025

Pictured in training

Hudson-Odoi (leg) was pictured in training during Wednesday's session, ahead of Saturday's clash with Liverpool.

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi was pictured in training Wednesday as he works back from a leg injury. This is the same issue that ruled him out against Leeds prior to the international break. He was always expected to return after the break and a return to full training prior to Saturday's clash is a good sign for his recovery. Hudson-Odoi had started three matches in a row before the injury.

Nov 7, 2025

Won't play Sunday

Hudson-Odoi (leg) is out for Sunday's match against Leeds United due to injury, according to manager Sean Dyche, per Sarah Clapson of the Nottingham Post. "I think it's improbable [he plays], unfortunately. Maybe after that. Maybe after the Leeds game, there's a stronger chance."

Analysis: Hudson-Odoi is not yet an option from his leg injury and is sidelined for yet another match despite being expected to return Sunday, with the forward now waiting until after the international break. This is a rough loss for the club, as he started in three straight games before the injury. A return after the break is likely, hoping to return to a starting spot when fit again.
